Determining Which file to Download:

ACT! 2015 (v17) download file: Act! Uninstaller v17

ACT! 2014 (v16) download file: Act! Uninstaller v16

Sage ACT! 2013 (v15) download file: Act! Uninstaller v15

Sage ACT! 2012 (v14) and below, download file: Act! Uninstaller v14

  1. Right-click the appropriate file from the File Attachments area of this document, and select Save Target As from the shortcut menu. A Save As dialog box appears.
  2. Click the drop-down arrow at the Save in field, browse to your Windows® Desktop (do not rename this file), and click Save.



Follow the steps below to run the Act! Uninstaller.exe and remove Act! from your computer:

  1. Print out a copy of these instructions, then close all running programs on your computer.
  2. Locate and double-click the Act! Uninstaller.exe file. The following Disclaimer appears:

  3. Click OK to continue.  The Read Me – Caution dialog box appears.

  4. Review and enable I certify that I have read and understand these warnings, and then click OK. The Act! Uninstaller dialog box appears:

  5. Ensure the correct path for the installation folder of Act! is displayed in The Current installation directory path is field.

    Note: Using the Act! Uninstaller will remove all files in the specified directory. If you have any non-Act! files or your Act! database in this location, move this files to an alternate location before using. If Act! is not installed in the default directory {C:\Program Files\ACT\ACT for Windows}, it is recommended that you manually remove Act! to minimize the risk of non-Act! files being deleted.

    If during the failed installation the installation folder was removed, you must use the manual uninstall process. Please refer to the Knowledgebase answers listed at the beginning of this article.

  6. If the correct path is not displayed you can enable the Enable the browse button so I can change the installation path listed option. The following Browse For Folder dialog box appears.

    Browse to the Act! installation folder, and then click OK. The ACT! Uninstaller dialog box reappears.

  7. Clear the Preserve my ACT! 6 installation option if you would like your ACT! 6.0 version removed from your computer. This option is enabled by default.
  8. Click Uninstall to continue. You will see no progress indicator, just an hourglass when you place your cursor over the dialog box. When finished the Uninstall is completed dialog box appears.

  9. You must restart you computer to properly complete the uninstall. Click your desired option Restart my computer now or I will restart my computer later.
